Useful Fix It Tips|
Before submitting a maintenance request, please browse through our list of common maintenance problems. By following these simple solutions, you may be able to resolve your issue quickly, without the need of our maintenance crew. Of course, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office.

detector is beeping
||Install a new fresh battery.
water pressure at the faucet Or Shower Head
||The aerator may be clogged.
Twist off the end of the aerator (the tip of the faucet where the water comes
out), clean it or tap it gently to remove particles and reinstall by screwing
||Hair and debris can often be
removed from the drain stopper. The drain stopper piece can be removed and
reinstalled quite easily. Use plunger
to clear drain. DO NOT USE LIQUID PLUMBER
fixture not working
||Replace the bulb. Locate and
check the breaker box to see if a breaker is tripped. Reset the breaker.
outlet not working
||Locate and check the breaker
box to see if a breaker is tripped. Make sure you do not have too much load
on any circuit. Example (space heater and hair dryer) If the problem is an
outlet located at the kitchen or bath, check the GFCI reset switch.
||Please put only organic
products down the toilet. Purchase a plunger and use accordingly.
||Try jiggling the handle.
Open the tank lid and see if the chain or flapper is stuck in the open
position. Adjust to close.
||Turn switch off. There is a
reset button on the bottom of the disposer and a place to insert an Allen
Wrench to turn manually.
for the Battery in the thermostat. Push the reset button, if there is
one. Check the pilot light. If it is not lit, then light it yourself or
call PG&E. PG&E does this as a
service for free to its customers.
||Ant infestation is
predominantly a residentís responsibility to resolve. Keep areas clean and
dry. Install ant traps in locations where ants are present. If the problem, persists please submit a

||Clean the lint trap before
and after each use.
||Replacement keys can be
obtained from the management office during business hours. If keys are lost
during off hours, you may try calling your resident manger, or call and pay
for a locksmith

||Pilot lights may be out on
the stove. Relight pilot.
||Locate gas shut off valve
and turn off. Call PGE and submit maintenance request.
not cooling properly
||Over filling the freezer
often causes this problem. Remove some items from the freezer and check
not cleaning dishes well
||It is possible that the hot
water is not getting to the Dishwasher quick enough. So, run the hot water at the kitchen faucet
for one minute before starting the dishwasher
Bubbling from the Dishwasher
||Often times this occurs
because a resident doesnít use the proper dishwashing detergent. Try running the dishwasher a few time to
see if it goes away.
